I wonder if you were to use a small drop of melted wax could you "glue" the pellet to the charge to feed it through a single shot bolt action...

Break action single shot (think H&R sportster)  would lend itself to this.

 

Try using a drop of super glue to attache pellet to front of cartridge?

As opposed to an adhesive, why not use a very hard lube like some of that crayon hard crap they use on commercially cast bullets?
While sucky in the scheme of lubes, it would provide some gas seal as well as lubrication and if applied right, should be more than enough to keep the bullet adhered to the nose of the case.

Personally, I'd like to see some results from a pressure gauge....just out of curiosity.
