Check your gear.

So I'm issued a Bushy w/ EOThingy at work. Every few days I take it out to make sure batteries have juice and everything is still locked down.

Yesterday, I did it and noticed my EOThingy was loose on the rail (I had originally mounted it with blue LocTite, too). So I remount and go to the range to verify zero. I had to go 8 clicks right to get the thing zeroed again...so much for "return to zero."

Anyway, check your gear frequently!

You got that right! And never trust anything you have not personally tested. I recently purchased a new AR 30 rd mag, I planned to check it out at our 3-gun match, it fed but did not drop free like it should. I removed a bur on one of the spot welds and it is fine.

+1 I always check before I go out.

That's some sage advice.

Also, use red "262" Loc-Tite.

I've had good luck running my American Defense Manufacturing mount on my Aimpoint Comp ML3 and the return to zero has been within 1-click the times that I have removed it. Unfortunately they don't offer a mount for the EOTech but LaRue does (see above). Unfortunately it may be a bit of an issue getting a budget concious department to buy and distribute them to anyone with an AR15 in their cruiser.

Guys, I am removing all of the off-topic remarks from this thread. Thread-drift is unnecessary in topical threads of this nature and serve only to erode the value of the thread itself.

Please keep that in mind going forward.

Thanks.
