This seems almost too cheap a price for a 1911. No matter who made it.

Bud's briefly had the Elite on sale for $600 and rebate takes it down to $500.  I couldn't resist.  Both are a steal with the rebate.

FWIW, Para was manufactured in Canada but moved to Pineville/Charlotte North Carolina ~4-5 years ago.  They were bought by Freedom Group and are currently in the midst of a move to the new monster facility in Huntsville, AL where I believe Remington, Bushmaster, Para will be manufactured.

First I've ever heard that.  I always keep thinking they are made in Canadia but pretty sure they are made in North Carolina.

Nope Garufa is correct. They are made in Pineville NC. (a little town that Charlotte grew up around) I used to live about 5 min from their place.

I have that 1911 and it is extremely accurate. That is a hell of a price for what you get IMO.

Oh, not related to Amrscor. DaveTN is correct, part of the Freedom Group.

Para's manufacturing is in Canada, but they are now owned by Freedom Group.

Ok. Amended my post. Just a source of misinformation I guess.
