Who has em, who likes em, and what do you like/dislike about them? Friend of mine offered me a really good deal on one and I honestly know nothing about them

I have a stainless Contender with a Super 14" 30-30 barrel that I use for deer season. It's a great shooter.
I use a 10" 222 Rem barrel for groundhogs.
A 10" .22lr barrel for goofing off. I have a few other barrels that see seldom use anymore.

The Contender is a great handgun. Get it. You won't be disappointed

Cool this one has a 223 barrel, 7-30 waters barrel and a 10mm. All 3 have optics. Nikon monarch on the 7-30 Leopold on the 223 and reflex on the 10mm. For the price he asked I can't go wrong. Wood stock blue barrels.

I have three. 7-30, .223, and 44 Mag. I have been shooting a Contender for 35+ years. You won't be disappointed.

i got several that i used back in the 80's for silhouette matches.  they are some of the best handguns made.

Great guns.  The 7-30 waters is a good deer gun.

An across the chest bandoleer holster and a walking stick with a v notch top is a great way to still hunt thick woods.  That is how I used to hunt with my 30-30 contender.

Seems like the 7-30 Waters is popular around here. I too have a 7-30, .223, 44Mag and 45Colt/410 Contender. The 7-30 is a favorite of mine. I shoot mostly cast boolits through it. And I make my own brass by reforming 30-30 cases.

My Dad has 3 with Leupold pistol scopes on them.

They shoot great and look as good as the day he bought them. I have no clue how old they are, but he's had them as far back as I can remember.

I've shot the 45 Colt and .44 mag versions he has and if single shot contenders are a-OK with you, then you will likely love the TC. :up:
