Just thought I'd post it up, since I didn't see it.

Nov. 8-9 Jackson fairgrounds. It is an RK show, supposed to have 350 tables.

What was it last time? I can't remember. If you go to their website, they have a dollar off coupon.

I'll be there, at the front door, at the NRA table. If you get your membership for the NRA, you get in the show free, plus you get the new NRA black/gold cap.

Crunchman,

So, you're an NRA Recruiter?

How much will the NRA Memberships cost at the door?

Yep, both the wife and I are recruiters, plus I'm the co-chair for the Forked Deer FNRA. Thanks to Mike W. our Tennessee NRA rep., who got me into all this. Hopefully, I'll start working with all the RK shows in this area.

$10 off, $25 for a years membership, plus free admittance. Now, is that a deal, or what?

Hooray, and congratulations to you and your wife.

Folks, if you've read this far, let me spell something out for you. The NRA has really made an effort to get gun show promoters to participate in the "Buy an NRA membership, get in free" promotion.

Everyone has some skin in this game:

-the NRA, as they're discounting a $35 membership to $25,

-the show promoter, in this case RK Shows, as they're charging a reduced ticket charge to the recruiter,

-the recruiter, in this case, Crunchman and his wife, as they're paying the reduced ticket charge out of their commssion from the NRA.

Everyone is giving up a little money in the hope of selling more memberships, having more NRA members, which leads to more educated gun owners, which increases the chances of us keeping our rights, and keeping the gun shows.

So, if you're going to this show in Jackson, and you're not yet an NRA member, what do you need to do when you're walking up to the entrance and see the table setup saying "Join the NRA and get in free!"?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Check your membership card. It'll have the expiration date on it, front of card, bottom left. If you don't have your card, call 1-800-672-0004, option 1, and the nice NRA rep will look up your records. If it's expired, then you can sign back up while you're on the phone.

Went to the Jackson show yesterday and the line was down to the street. I stayed for couple hours and when I left people were still waiting in line to get in. Lots of ammo and long guns and knives. Didn't seem to be as many pistols as usual.

Joined the NRA while I was there.(thanks Crunchman) Good deal 25 to join with NRA cap and got your $8 entrance fee back.--MP

As Major Pain said, it was a jumping show, especially for such a small one. We signed up over 70 members yesterday and today. A big thanks to all who joined!!!

Of course, I spent too much money on AR mags, knife storage/display cases, and a nice S&W 629 stainless with the non-fluted cylinder.

We'll be working the next Jackson show in January and the next Memphis show whenever they get it rescheduled (RK shows are moving to a new location there).

Where will the shows be held in Memphis?

According to the promoter, they have contracted with a new building and are moving away from the fairgrounds. They have not set a new date for the show pending the final contract with the building management. They should have it posted on their website sometime in the next couple of months. I'll recieve an email from them and, as soon as I hear, I'll post here.
