So after dealing with the idiots at Dunham sports i find out they do not refund guns (even when they are at fault) , so I had to exchange only. I wound up with the moss 500 12gauge. They didn't carry the 590. But thats okay, I'm fairly good with a pump and I can focus on other fundamentals like quad loading.

The stoeger is a good gun to start with. For gear you can go to shooters source dot com. Shooters supply, invictus practical for shell holder etc cr speed and blade tech make good gear. A lot of it is personal preference, the Enos forum is good for finding stuff, practice loading that shotgun, and come to local matches.

Any 2 3/4 inch 7.5 or 8 shot. I like winchester AA but the federal bulk pack at walmart works good. Since you dont have a choke I would keep a box of high brass 6 in your bag just in case you have a heavy popper you need to knock down from a ways off.
