Aero Precision customer service sucks

I ordered a complete upper from these guys back before Thanksgiving.  Item showed in stock on their website.  Got an order confirmation within a day of placing the order.  2 weeks go by and there is no shipping notice.  Called their customer service dept 12/8 and was told that my order was at the "top of  the list" and  that there was a part of the upper they had to wait to get in before they could ship. Was told it would ship on 12/9.  Well, no shipping notice as of today.  Called them back again and got the same run-around and was told it would ship out on 12/13 (who ships on Saturday/seemed kind of odd).  I just get the general feeling that I am getting B.S.'d and it is beginning to rub me the wrong way.  Point of my post is if you are going to order from these people, keep your fingers crossed for a better experience or bring some grease...

it's always a frustrating time when expectations aren't met.  sorry that you can't get more clarity on the situation.

by contrast, i haven't had any issue with the uppers/lowers that i've bought from Aero.  perhaps the holiday strain/sales have put a kink in their system and shipping timelines.

hope it all gets resolved in time for Santa.

when talking with them this week they basically didn't have the parts on hand to build the uppers and were waiting on those parts to complete and ship them out.  in today's e-commerce i would think that a company would have a more reliable system to accurately reflect the inventory in their system during the order process.  or, put a disclaimer on their website that due to order volume shipping times may increase.  just seems like a positive reinforcement to the traffic on your site that you are not alienating your customers...i wanted to give their product a try after reading reviews of their products, but i have never encountered more poor customer service than what is provided by this company...

I would much rather a place say "We build these to order and it's Christmas time so it may not ship as fast as usual" versus "In Stock" and find out later that it's going to be 2 or 3 weeks. At that point, I get to make the decision on whether the savings out weighs the wait time. If not, I'll pay more somewhere else. Some things I'm never in a hurry for, some things I'll want faster and pay more for so I'll buy local, which also lets me put my eyes and hands on it if I want to. Although most of us know that around big sales at holiday times, there probably will be a delay in shipping, but the In Stock leads us to believe it's going to ship soon. Not always the case.

That being said, Aero seems to have quality stuff and I hope they get you squared away.

Exactly, if I'd known up front there was a backlog of some sort it probably wouldn't have been an issue. Now, it is more a matter of them giving a ship date that isnt fulfilled time and again, only further making them appear incompetent IMO....

As of yesterday afternoon I have been told 3 stories. First was the barrel was on back order, then it was the handguard, now it is the gas block. Order has still not shipped.

I was told by the lady I spoke with yesterday that she would call me back and give me an ETA on when tbey were supposed to receive their shipment so tbey could get mine out the door. I am a phone call away from throwing my hands up and cancelling this order. I have never dealt with this much ignorance in my life...

For those of you who have Aero products I am glad you didnt experience what I have been through. For those of you thinking about buying their products, think real hard....

I just cancelled my order with them. They can provide no ETA on their gas block order so that they can ship my upper. I will never purchase anything from them again regardless of the quality of their products due to their inept customer service and website design....

Can't blame you. Most people will wait if there is an apology and an explanation. But when you continually stonewall someone that is just bad form.

Yes sir, if I'd known there was a backlog on the front end it probably would not have been a big deal and could deal with it...oh well, they probably dont really care about losing my business anyway...
