Any Certified Public Accountants in house (in Knoxville/Oak Ridge area)?

I really don't know if I need CPA or just a good tax man.

 

I will probably need assistance with my taxes this year as I did a big thing with my stocks and don't want to get in trouble with Uncle Sam.

 

I thought I would start my look here first.

Don't feel constrained to someone local.  My CPA is based in San Diego, CA, and he was able to handle all my stuff while I was overseas.  I'm talking 1099 pay, schedule C, investments, foreign earned income.  This will be the fifth year he does my returns, and we've never needed more than email communication to handle things.

Well, my thought was to check local first.

 

Due to company split and stocks being reverse split.

I ended up with stock I brought in 1 company though pay roll deductions spread out though 2 companies.

It got the point I can estimate my cost and profit but I can't prove it exactly.  Much of it was brought over the last 10 years.

 

However I am using it to dig myself out of debt instead of buying something fancy.
