Her parole be denied. If you aren't familiar, Vanessa Coleman was deeply involved in the Slater/Newsome trial in Knoxville. I hope she never sees the outside of a prison again. I firmly believe that some people should be run through a tree chipper feet first! Edited December 11, 2014 by VERO1

I think the "parole "option should be done away with. Especially for people like her. She should not be allowed to ever see daylight again....

 

They all need to die on the chair or in prison.. Never do be able to live a normal life.. They didn't allow Shannon or  Chris to do so.. Neither should they.

 

I hope she dies a miserable horrible death in prison...

I believe in the death penalty. I don't believe in the mockery it has become. Twenty appeals, millions of dollars and a circus. If you are tried and found guilty and thus sentenced to death, one appeal, to begin immediately should be enough to ensure a mistake wasn't made. Death within a year. Simple as that.

 

Someone should not live life in prison awaiting the death penalty. Nor should we spend millions of dollars on an inmate. Prison isn't meant to be a place of television, computers and video games. It is punishment.

Im glad you mentioned ol Vanessa because I had a question regarding her parole hearing.

While watching the local news last night and seeing the video i noticed 2 tactical uniformed officers guarding her.

Question 1 - who is that ? They had the acronym GERT badged on their arms.

Question 2 - were these people necessary ? I would assume hearings like this are held in facilities that are secured and you are probably searched or "detected" on the way in.

And if someone pulled a jack ruby ?... meh, call it a savings for the taxpayer

While I agree that guilty folks should die in prison, there have been plenty of cases of people being released 15, 20, or even more years after they were imprisoned because they were actually proven innocent. Not just acquitted, but proven that they absolutely did not commit the crime. They would all be dead if we didn't allow for the appeals process. 

 

A better alternative would be to not imprison people for victimless crimes, which, I would wager would save us a lot more money.

I felt the same way until DNA evidence started clearing so many people who had gone through the appeals process already.

I used to really support the death penalty, then I got to thinking of all the free labor could be derived from these walking pieces of fecal matter, if we'd just get rid of the hippy scum who defend their rights.
Chain them together...no locks, tool steel clasps forge welded together (it's just a burn, it'll heal!) quenched to harden them and put them out in groups cleaning up the whole country. Hobble the runners.
Here's a broom, some bags and a mop, start at north Nashville, when you get to the south end well put you in a truck and you can start over. Meals on wheels will stop by every evening to deliver what leftovers the nursing home refused.

They still have chaingangs in Alabama..not sure why they do not do it here.. would improve the trash problem we have alongside our highways. I know the DUI people have to pick up trash.. but its not nearly enough..

 

I think  they should have to dig the graves for the people they kill ,be it in a robbery or a DUI case..

It’s appalling that she is even eligible for a parole hearing this soon.
The people that committed and participated in those murders and rape are animals and should never walk free again.
