Streamlight TLR-1 Game Spotter

Recommended Posts

Just got my Streamlight TLR-1 Game Spotter in today. Mounted it to my AR and it's pretty dang bright. Looking forward to taking it hog hunting in Texas next month.

(Tried taking pics of the light being on, but didn't turn out well on my phone)

Very Nice! Hopefully TN will wake up and soon allow night hunting, the coyote aren't dwindling at this rate.

Is the Game Spotter just a larger version of the normal TLR-1?

I have the cheaper TLR-3 and it's a great light for the money.

What mount did you use for the light? I just got the MOE handguard and am thinking of putting a light on it but I want something I can remove easily.

Used a 5" Magpul rail section. Had to use the furthest forward available section to mount it so the bell cleared the handguard. The light has a built in mount.

It is. It's like the TLR-1 HP, in that it's a focused beam. The Game Spotter has a green LED that supposedly doesn't spook critters.
