Bucket of bullets at BP online

Bass Pro has the 1400 round Remington bucket of bullets as a cyber special today for $69.99 and free shipping. Limit one, but with free shipping that's a pretty good price. Not sure how long they will last.

It's going to take a long time to get back to any sense of normalcy if gun owners DDOS a site as large as BassPro's every time some .22LR hits the shelves.

I'm not going to feed into the frenzy. 25 bucks would be a good price for that. If we all use what we've got sparingly this so called shortage would be over in no time.

25 bucks? I don't think this ammo has been priced that low for over 10 years, so that is not realistic. Prior to the current crisis, I believe this was probably selling at around $40-45. Even so, I think $.05 per round is probably close to the new normal price for this ammo, so I was happy to get a bucket.

This is the first of the "cheaper" stuff that I've been able to find in two years. I was able to get a few boxes of some CCI ammo recently at reasonable prices and that was the first I had been able to buy since November 2012. So, maybe supply will finally start to catch up with demand in 2015.

Well, I got me a bucket coming, along with a co-worker.  Neither of us had any issues getting on the site and checking out.

I did use some of my BPS rewards money to lower the price, so my total after tax was 52.81 (.037 cents/bullet)

I also got a box of the 22 from the BPS black friday event, so I'm good for a couple of months on 22lr :)

??? When's the last time you paid less than .02/round, even many years before Sandy Hook?

Hell, best I remember,  they were .75 to a buck for 50 even in the Sixties.

Well, you may be right. I haven't bought 22's for a while. When I did they were on sale. I do think the prices are overinflated. I don't need any right now, so I'll leave them for others that are about out.
