Husqvarna Axe?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking to purchase a Gransfors Bruks and during my reserch I ran across the Husqvarna Axes. They are forged axes, but cost considerably less than the Granfors. Has any one here used one and if so would you recommend purchasing one?

Yep... I did the same thing you are doing, and bought the Husky... They sharpen right up and look good... Iv'e got a Wetterlings or two and they appear to be basically the same axe....

Thanks, they look good on line, but that can be misleading. The only thing that I don't like the look of is the Husqvaran on the handle. Thought I might replace it or remove and refinish it. Edited by Odessa7979

The Husqvarna axes are good, but Id hunt flea markets and yard sales. All my regular use axes are antiques that work amazingly and hold a great edge. Usually cost $5-10 plus a new handle.

A friend in my hunting club has one that I used just a couple of weeks ago. Well worth the price IMO.
