IDPA BUG match Saturday Nov. 29'th at Green River Gun Club

Green River Gun Club (GRGC) of Bowling Green Ky. will be hosting a "Club"  IDPA BUG match on Saturday November 29th. This is the last GRGC match of the year.

Since it's a "club" BUG match, you don't need a classification and you can shoot any legal IDPA handgun. All other BUG rules will apply.

The "BUG" matches are primarily for two purposes . . . to get experience with our BackUp Guns, and to introduce new shooters or CCW holders to shooting.

In terms of equipment and rules, a BUG match is about as easy as it gets.

For the ordinary Club" level IDPA BUG matches . . .

You need a center fire Pistol or Revolver, ammo, a bag, rug or holster to transport your handgun to the stages,  and eye and ear protection.

You only load 5 rounds per stage.  (So you don't need extra magazines or speed loaders, but it won't hurt if you have some.)

You start from "Low Ready".  (So you don't even need a holster, or to practice drawing from one.)

You only need 75 rounds.   (You'll probably need less than 50, but bring a few extra just in case a stage prop malfunctions and you need to reshoot a stage.)

The targets are usually MUCH closer than the normal IDPA match.

If you've never shot anything like an IDPA or USPSA type match before . . . this is your best choice for an entry point.

You don't "have" to bring a small BackUp Gun, you "can" bring your Glock, M&P, XD or 1911 . . . but even with that, you'll still only be loading to 5 rounds.  So you, and everyone else, will be "on par" with each other. You will be scored in the appropriate division.

Stop by and try it.  Its usually well attended.  With shooters of ALL levels.  Come see what its all about.

8:00am set-up, shooter's meeting at 9:00am, start at about 9:30am.

Sounds good. Looking forward to it. No, I will not have a bug weapon with me(except another full size pistol).

Are you bringing your anniversary present or a legal IDPA gun?

All proceeds are being donated to Toys For Tots !

Do you accept toys?
If so, do they needs to be packaged? Edited by vinstang67

I don't want to derail this thread, but too bad.  I keep hearing things about the SP01 not being legal.  I get why the Accu-shadow isn't, but is my CZ SP01 Shadow Target from CZ Custom legal for ESP?  It has a different hammer and sights than the stock SP01.  As it sits, it could not run in SSP without changing the hammer and sights back to factory, which technical can't be done because CZC cuts the rear of the slide to accept the LPA sight.
