Ruger American Rimfire or 10/22

I have no doubt you will love it. I just mounted a "centerpoint" 3x9 in weaver base and rings on my dad's bone-stock, 30yr old 10/22. On a bench rest, my 13yr old nephew was shooting q-tips in half at 23yds. - couldn't miss.
using Primos "stix", I had no problem repeatedly shooting .223 shell casings at 25yds.
Before this last weekend, I would've said bolt gun, but an older 10/22 with a mint crown might be the ticket!


Funny I did the same thing to demonstrate how weak a 22 lr round was to a know it all. Shot a steel case 223 casing with my Henry the weak 22 lr drove the 223 case into the 2x6 that was set in front of it. Me I would go with the 10/22 besides you can always use two or three of them. I have been eyeing the synthetic stainless model.
