Thank you for posting this SupaRice.

I just joined.

I am also a Knife Rights member and I am extremely appreciative for the hard work Knife Rights, Todd, and all the rest put forth for our State.

I have no doubt the same efforts will go towards removing further obstructions to exercising our Constitutionally Protected, yet violated, Rights.

Todd has already demonstrated he knows how to work to makes the changes happen. Dig deep and help folks.

I will give this a close look. Federal law, not state law stops me from having NFA items. I refuse to pay ridiculous amounts of money for suppressors, taxes, and attorney fees simply because an item is controlled by the Feds.

The Montana Firearms Freedom Act tested the water. It was stopped by the 9th Federal District and the SCOTUS refused to hear it on appeal. SCOTUS won’t usually get involved unless there are disagreements by the Federal Districts. We should run our TFFA through the 6th District and see what happens.

Well, technically, if whole NFA were abolished, TCA 39-17-1302 would have to be changed for them to be legal in TN. Probably not a problem, I guess.

Gotta pay to play.  If you refuse to pay just because they are controlled by the feds, then you are missing out on a lot of fun.  There are lots of suppressors that are very reasonably priced, and a trust can be had for less than $100.

I'd love to see them at least fix that nonsense so that one could obtain a suppressor or an SBR without having to pay a right to by tax. Main reason I don't have a can now is because of all the red tape nonsense and undo attention it brings. Total BS.... And SBR rules make NO SENSE.

The red tape is actually pretty easy if you're willing to set up a trust.

A lot of stuff needs to be abolished.  But I work within the system until those changes can be made, if they ever are.

I totally agree. It'll take a "progressive" reversal to get there.

But when can fight them on every level on the road to the end goal.

Keeping them busy fighting our battles rather than us fighting theirs is the best plan. We can win small battles within the larger fights (taking a page out of the progressive playbook) and make major progress collectively over time. Edited by JohnC
