I realize everything is subjective, but...

If one owned a STAR Super B 9mm in really great shape, and was offered an even trade for a Taurus 24/7 .45... wouldja?

Maybe. Ones more what I would consider a use and abuse kind of shooter, the others going to be a neat old gun that works but may or may not be something you want to take out and shoot a whole lot.

I'd probably hang into the Star, but I like old guns with soul.

I LOVE, with a capital L, my Taurus 24/7 and I would gladly trade a STAR Super B 9mm for one. I have an OSS/DS model and it is the most accurate 9mm I have ever shot. It has a great trigger and has been reliable for over 2K rounds.

I put the STAR Super B 9mm in the same category as a Llama. Yes they are reliable but beyond that they are not anything special and are actually a "budget" gun.

Wow! Not often that I hear good words for one of my Taurus pistols...and to hear them from Dolomite! Great!

Seriously, I have the same pistol and agree. It has been a gem in the Taurus line.

I traded for it and have been exceedingly happy with it.

This^^^  The 24/7, it's sister the 800 series of Taurus, and the PT92's are probably the ONLY Taurus I would own but then, being Taurus and my loathing towards them as it is, I'd have to snag them at a pretty good deal.

The Millennia nee 24/7 are among the better of the Taurus product line IMH&ME. I've passed up on numerous opportunities to purchase a Star Model B though.

For me, it would be a hard trade to make. Yes I do like and have some Taurus pistols.

I wouldn't mind having a nice Star piece, but availability of parts and repairs on the Taurus sorta beats out the Star.

And with the Taurus still in production, that is a plus.

I guess I'm saying that I wouldn't make that trade. But that's just what I would do. And Steelharp knows I have been wrong before.
