Alternative to KAK tube

I haven't seen anyone mention this one.  It's adjustable.  Don't know about their buffer tubes, but I've bought an Odin Works barrel.  Haven't fired it, but it looks good so far.

BTW, when they were in stock the price was much less.  Don't remember exactly.  But it seemed like a good deal.

Yeah, it's a cool idea. I haven't been able to find out its natural length though. Meaning, if you have to offset the brace past end of tube just to get same minimum LOP as KAK tube or what.

For example, the Phase 5 Hex tube is shorter than the KAK, but it's designed to offset the tube from the gitgo to get about same length as non-offset KAK. But the KAK with the spacers allows you increase even that securely.

Also note that if using the SBX brace, no forward retention is necessary on any tube, assuming the tube is long enough to suit you without offsetting it.

is the KAK tube still the best option for the SBX brace? I'm rounding up parts to put one together.

I like it fine, but do note that it will not quite reach the retaining flange on either of the KAK SB-5 designed tubes as the SB-15 brace does, leaves about half inch gap. I used the short KAK spacer to make up the diff (actually adds a bit of offset too). But I did indeed want the extra 1.5" or so of the OAL of the tube. The gap doesn't matter as far as functionality, just thought it would look odd myself.

You might want to take a look at the Phase 5 Hex 2 buffer tube. I went with the KAK for my AK pistol, but I ordered the Hex 2 for my AR build. It might not have quite the length that the KAK does, but It looks fantastic and is made specifically for use with the Sig brace.

It has about the same OAL as the brace slid all the way onto the KAK tube -- the Hex is shorter tube but offsets the brace. Offsetting the KAK tube gives more than the HEX.
