Sig P290RS?

Has anyone here used one of these?  I'm still researching 9mm pocket/crotch pistols.  This one is a Sig for 3 bills.  Sounds like a pretty good deal.

It also looks more ergonomic than the P938.  Haven't handled either, though.

The last time I held one of these I thought "Sig made this way too thick and heavy to pocket carry". I would recommend getting your hands on one before buying.

JMO, but this is one of the chunkier, blockier Sigs made. And I am a Sig fan.

I have had one for about 6 months and appendix carry it in a Ryman kydex holster but I don't like to pocket carry it because of the weight. If I need to pocket carry, I'll take my LCP. I like the gun and I shoot it well, smooth trigger for a DAO and I think the extra weight also makes it more enjoyable to shoot.

One of the reasons I wanted it try it was the length which makes it more comfortable for me to appendix carry while driving.

I agree with hipower's assessment.  I looked at one before buying a 938 and didn't like the 290s shape, size, weight or trigger pull.

Thanks for the opinions. Sounds like it's moving down the list.

At this point, I'm leaning heavily toward a Kahr CM9.

The Kahr's are hard to beat on size and weight. I've pocket carried for 10 years everyday and I do notice once you get over 20oz especially loaded.

Made a holster for one recently. Not a bad size considering the caliber. Need to be a little picky how you carry it. My friend and his wife really like it.
