Kindle and other readers

I like my old style kindle.  B&W NON REFLECTIVE NON FINGERPRINT screen.  The newer color ones are like trying to read a book written on a mirror that has had a 3 year old touch it all over (touch screen issue + reflective screen issue combined).

It depends on what you want it for.  You can read ebooks on a lot of things, you do not need a dedicated reader.   You can probably do it on a phone, and I know you can do it on a PC/laptop/tablet.    I just want to read books on mine, so I want their cool paper like screen -- ill use my computer for a computer.

I have a home pc, no laptop, no tablet, and don't like the small screen on my phone. Would rather carry the reader than anything larger.

so is TN Reads directly compatable with the kindle or do the files have to be converted?

It works so nice. Essentially when you check something out from your local library on the TN Reads site, you get redirected to Amazon where you click the "Rent" button.

It has to be tried if you have a Kindle or any E-Reader at that.

i guess i was trying to get away from having to plug it up to the computer for transferring books. both the nook and kindle have wifi but you cant actually use the wifi on the nook to transfer a library book you still have to plug the usb to your computer. sounds like the kindle would allow it.

Sorry, too many different things going on here. And this old man is still having trouble keeping up with you younger guys. I thought that sounded a bit odd to me.

The ads aren't too bad. Some of the early ones were supposed to offer some really good deals but I think that was more just to sweeten the pot. Found out they were doing the fire phone unlocked for 199 from one so that's what the wife is getting for Christmas.
