Amazon Black Friday Deals

P.S.

If you try and fight the crowd on actual Black-Friday, you're insane. I'd rather stay at home, eat more food, and do my shopping on the internet. That is why they invented it.

I find I agree with you as I get older, smarter, and less willing to be stampeded by wild creatures.

My parents used to live in a small town in Alabama. We'd go there for Thanksgiving and I'd get up and go BF shopping on Friday. Not much to choose from, but Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and a Belk. It was so unlike our cities. You could go to HD an hour after opening and still have a good chance at getting their most popular door busters. I did a little last year here in Nashville, but so far, I'm not seeing anything that makes me want to fight the crazies.

My wife and I did it for a few years, and when my mother was living, we would usually take her out and "enjoy" the experience with her. She was a bargain hunter like I've never seen. Sure miss those trips.

These days, I might go to the Home Depot or Lowes sales. That's about it though.

I have gotten some good tool and cabinet/shelving buys there over the years.

Went to Sears a couple of times...that was a nightmare!! Edited by hipower

The unions are coordinating today with a group called “For Respect” to achieve what they call an historic event. The first ever sit-in at a Wal*Mart store by employees.

Sadly the “sit in” is more like a “bore in” with less than a dozen employees actually participating.

I wish they would try this on Black Friday.

I got a BF deal at Lebanon Gun Shop once, there was about 5 of us at the door when they opened. The 2nd one I ever got was an ammo deal at Dicks. Left work at 6am got there about 630am and oddly there wasn't a crowd there.

I don't have to have anything where I have to fight the crowds, it just ain't worth it to me. Online buying is the best option for catching deals for me.

Amazon Black Friday Deals

Amazon claims to run "Pre Black Friday" deals up until Black Friday. I don't know about that but I have been watching the items. Some good things, not bought anything yet.

I typically try and do all of my shopping online Black Friday to Cyber Monday for Christmas.

I pay for Prime yearly ($39 a year since I used my .edu email but still worth the full amount. If you haven't tried it, you should give their 30 day free trial a go. Make not to try and take advantage of all it offers.

Unlimited, ad-free streaming of over a million songs
*Instantly watch over 40,000 movies and TV episodes
*FREE two-day shipping (no minimum order size)
*Borrow Kindle books

That's my holiday shopping!

I'll be near a huge Cabela's while visiting family during Thanksgiving but I don't want to be anywhere near it that weekend.  They usually run some pretty good black Friday bulk ammo deals but not worth fighting the crowds.  I'll be cruising the internet for deals instead if I am not in a tree stand.
