would like to read more and have more input on these, I am on the fence about buying one of these over an anything else, of course I have high hopes that there will be several Black Friday sales going on. I know there was some comments on another thread and Dolo was thinking about one, part of the attraction for me is 2 points, price, and side charging. Based on a short discussion the other day with another person, his opinion was greater reliablility with a side charger, it does not bother me that it doesnt have a dust cover, and sort of on the fence with the forward assist. What ya'll have to say.

well I thought I would get a few responses to the question asked. or the comments made.

Side chargers don't need a forward assist since it has a charging handle connected to the bolt. 

 

Also, since the charging handle connects to the bolt, the handle is reciprocating, which I'm personally not a fan of.  


standard bolt carriers won't interchange.

the new frontier from what i read is non reciprocating, and the bcg with the exception of the cam pin is interchangable. Others dont like the fact that there is no forward bolt assist, not sure that the lack of one is all that big of a deal. And again from another converstion I had with a person who works for a distributor is that they are more reliable. If the only draw back is the lack of a dust cover then it might be a good upper for the price point, that is what I am wishing for anyway.

Had to look at it.  Thats neat.  Hadn't seen one.  But I don't think I'd drop complete lower money on it...
