The 147's have a different point of impact than the 124's...in general, lighter rounds shoot lower than heavier rounds.

IIRC 9mm factory zero is based on the 115 gr bullet weight.

The 124+P should give you excellent penetration and the GD is a proven round.

Some handguns are finicky about 147's from my experience. My Glock's (17 & 19) do fine with them with factory barrels.

I carry GD 124's as well, but I handload and shoot 147's from time to time. I like the difference in recoil impulse they offer, compared to the 124's.

To me, they seem to have more of a "push-back" compared to a sharp snap with the 124's. Heck...maybe it's all in my head anyway. :ugh:

I have some 147's loaded up if you'd like to try them. We need to do some shooting anyway. :pleased:

FWIW...my 2 Shield 9 pistols function very well with 124 grain rounds, in fact, initially the 115 didn't cycle well in them.

But after several 100 rounds of 124s during break-in, they eat about any load.

I found the 147 a bit snappier in them than the 124. Not a great lot, but a slight noticeable difference.

Both weights reliably deliver 12+" of tissue penetration, so both should perform as good as handgun bullets are going to perform.  In fact, the 124gr "standard" pressure GD does just fine as well.

I shoot the 124gr, mainly because my EDC is a n HK P7, which doesn't do 147gr bullets.

In the guns you listed, either would work just fine.  I'd pick the one that more closely matches the POI of your practice ammo.
