The Final Cut

I made the final cut today.  Then I cleaned up my mower and put it away for the winter.  It seems like it was a little later this year than in recent years.

I may do that tomorrow. Supposed to be warm most of next week so I may end up having to mow again in a week or two.

I just mowed today.....well more like raked (mulched) the leaves up so they will hopefully blow away. :P  I might do it one more time.

I am still waiting on all of my leaves to drop.  Most of my yard is Bermuda so it is already brown, but I need to trim up the few areas of fescue.

Damn!  I thought this was going to be about the Pink Floyd album.  :(

We've still got a few full trees, one of our biggest maples is holding on to the leaves like the darn bradford pear trees do.

Our final cut was 3-4 weeks ago, I did lay down 50 lbs of seed today.

I'm waiting for the leaves to fall out of the Maple first so that I can mulch them at the same time. The only thing growing in my yard right now are the wild onions anyways.

I have to wait to winterize the lawn tractor until my leaves are done dropping - I use it tow the leaf vac around.

I'm on the opposite end. Finally moving back to the country I can't wait to cut grass again!  :rofl:

 

I'm sure that will fade after the first time though.
