Just a quick note to say hello. I spent 26 years in retail firearms sales, machining and gunsmithing. Now I am a full-time dad with a 5.5month old keeping me very busy. I'll mostly lurk and check things out but will offer up information when needed. After so long in the trade, I have a bit of information stored up in my head.

Welcome. Not a knock on your state but I find it amusing that pot is now legal but you can't pump your own gas (at least not in Portland). :)

Yes they just passed the legality to the green stink last week and if you have a gasoline vehicle you can't pump, but 80% of the diesel stations are self serve... One bonus to driving a Duramax.

Greetings fellow Duck!!  I also attended the University of Oregon (a long while back), lived in Eugene (as well as Springfield and Vida) many years and an Oregonian most my life.    Not sure about you, but considering a move to Tennessee.  I live in Washington now and this state has suffered major set back in freedom with the passing of I-594. 

 

 

You guys may laugh, but can I count the numerous times the stoned hippie pumping my gas forgot to put the gas cap back on my car??    :rofl:

Welcome to the board.  Did some training out there once, didn't know about the no self-serve until after I filled up.  Still, wonder what all that is about.
