Trading Post Question...(what is gear)?

I read through the Trading Post policies, and the only reference to my question was... "TGO is a disinterested third-party which merely facilitates meetings between members who wish to legally buy, trade and sell firearms and gear."

Is it okay to sell other personally owned items (besides firearms) as well? I've got a couple of high-end knives, and some body armor that I'd like to sell, if that's okay? If not...that's fine too...but I wanted to ask, first.

From the description online under the category "gear" would be accessories pertaining to firearms. For knives I'd probably list them in the Non-Firearm related category. For body armor it could really be either depending on how you look at it. I'm not in charge here but I doubt it will matter much either way.

I'd put the body armor in the gear section. I'd probably go with non firearms section on the knives but I've seen them in the gear section as well.

Take a look through the Non-Firearms classifieds. We TGO'ers will buy and sell just about anything as long as it's legal. There was a one a few years ago selling a sex swing (unused). Probably the most unusual item I've seen in the Trading Post.

I also see knives in both Gear and Non-Firearms, but as they're not really a firearms related item, I'd personally put them in Non-Firearms.

Yeah, for whatever reason most knives get posted in the Gear section, but it's never caused a fuss.
