Rossi .357 Single Shot Rifle

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)
I traded a Rossi single shot .357 rifle to another member here (RobTattoo) a few years ago (probably about 5-6 at this point). This is a rifle that i have a sudden nostalgic sense of after seeing pictures of my son with it, as it was one of, if not, the first that we "improved / refurbished" together. If anyone on here still has it and is willing to part with it, I would love to have it back, especially as my boy is getting older (7 years old in the pictures below, going on 14 now)

This one:

Wow, I traded the rossi to another guy on here. That was 4 years ago. I have zero clue who he is. I tried searching my post & message history, but it doesn't go back far enough.
If anyone knows the guy, he traded me a Belgian Browning SA .22 & a T/C muzzleloader.
Shot my first whitetail with that little .357

my first thought when I saw this post was a for sale ad.   Was gonna jump at it maybe.

I hope you find it.

We have a single shot Savage .22.  Grandsons first shooter. I do know better than to ever part with it.

My boy has a little Mossberg .22 that was his first. 8 years ago this Christmas. It'll stay with us. I just regret this because it was one of, if not, the first we tore apart and rebuilt / refinished together. Edited by Good_Steward

Well, it was a damned fine looking gun after I finished..., ;)

Thanks, guys

Please don't think I was knocking your work in any way. It just seemed like a lopsided trade.

I hope you find your rifle.

Not at all! Sounds like he got a great trade for it!

Funny story is that I traded this to Rob for a Marlin 336 to rebuild with my boy, as well. Still have it. We have now done this with a lot of rifles, shotguns, and old revolvers over the last 6 years. One of my favorite pastimes is hanging out in the gun room with my boy doing this. Pretty soon, he'll be too interested in the girls to deal with me. Hell, he's already got that floppy beiber hair......
