Integrally suppressed rifle

Is there a different set of hoops one needs to jump through to build an integrally suppressed rifle?

I have an idea, but the barrel and suppressor would be one unit, capable of disassembly for cleaning, but all one unit.
It may or may not be capable but, I have been playing with barrel stubbing H&R Handi rifles and shotguns. Shotgun receivers are limited to low pressure rounds, but I think a little planning could get you a .38 special integrally suppressed rifle built on a 10g shotgun.

Thoughts?

No special hoops.  Just a regular Form 1.  As long as the entire assembly is 16 inches.  If its shorter, you would need to file two Form 1s.  One for the suppressor and one for the SBR.  

 

 

Now, as for using the shotgun, I don't know about all that.  Thats out of my wheelhouse.

Yeah, upon reflection, using the shotgun barrel for a donor tube might be kinda sketchy.

If its just the barrel, it may be okay as long as it can withstand the pressure.  But if you are using the action, its gets into legal territory that I don't understand.

Yeah, the frame is all that really matters. If you can use a rifle frame and a shotgun barrel it should work.

Therein lies the problem then. I don't believe the 10g barrels fit rifle receivers.
