Just filed an e-form 1, what do I do next?

Recommended Posts

Just spent the afternoon filling out and e-form 1 for an SBR. It looks like it all went through. Should I get the lower engraved now? I am taking the upper off my SW 15-22P and putting it on my 15-22 rifle. What do I have engraved?
My trust name and city and state? If so, who in the Brentwood area will do this? Next up, going to have a Buckmark rifle cut down to 10" and threaded assuming this goes smoothly.

I already have element 1, element 2, ss sparrow, liberty essence, mite, and spectre 2.... Plus Thompson machine integral for the ruger takedown and an AAC dragonfly for a Buckmark pistol...I'm a pretty big fan of 22lr:)

I'm just pumped that I can start SBRing guns now with virtually no wait. Might make a bolt action one too:)

BTW, I always recommend having the lower engraved BEFORE submitting. That is because accidents do happen and can you imagine submitting, getting approved then the engraver royally screws something up or it looks like ass.

If something does happen you CAN get a refund as long as the item has yet to be built but if it has been assembled and then something goes bad during engraving you cannot get a refund.

It does happen and quite often it seems, had a guy on Facebook post the most screwed up engraving job I think I have ever seen. The engraver knew that engraving through anodizing can be problematic with chipping but rather than remove the anodizing he went ahead and did it through the anodizing and it resulted in chipping so bad you can barely read it. And this is not the first time I have seen it, I see it regularly on the various forums I belong to.
