Yesterday at Buds Gun Shop they had CCI .22 ammo 10 dollars per 100 rounds.

They had .22 Stingers for 10 dollars per 50.

Not the greatest but not horrible and install

Also looking at TargetSport USA they have allot of .22 in stock for about the same price range.

Today at the flee Market a guy was selling .22 ammo, I made a comment that is good to see .22 making a come back.

However, he wanted 15 dollars per 100.  Just walked away.

i hope the flea market guy has to eat the ammo.  the ammo will make it back and with more stores not putting it out at the same time each week it give us normal guys a chance to buy some.  the price will come down next because people are not going to spend money on high price ammo when they need to spend it on high price food.  $30.00 for 325 rounds is just to high.  i hope bud's eat it too. sportsman here is now putting the 22 ammo out at different times and days.  now they don't have the monday morning long line of butt heads waiting at the front door at oping to get the ammo for resale.

Seems like it is getting better.  And I agree with Frankmako completely I hope the gougers have to eat it and choke on it when they do.  I wonder if these gun shops that gouge realize that they loose business because of this.  Case in point, a few weeks ago the wife and I were on a little road trip and stopped in at a well known gun shop that I won't say the name of but it is in Benton, Tennessee.  I was just planning on doing a little browsing, checking to see if they did have .22 ammo in stock, and picking up a holster for a gun that I had just acquired.  Well they did have some .22 in stock 525 (I think) boxes of Remington Thunderbolt, which was priced at $70 or $75 a box, can't remember exactly.  In protest  refused to buy the holster that I was going after.  And, because I'm stubborn I'll probably never cross their threshold again.

Don't tell me you have been holding out on source  .22 ammo  That stuff has been like unobtainium almost everywhere unless you want to pay about triple price since the Sandy Hook shooting.

I was in a god foresaken wal mart tonight and noticed they did not even have labels on the shelves for .22, at all. I thought I had over looked it so I did a re check and nope, no space marked for .22. Do they just keep it at the counters now and you have to ask??

looks like their price has come down.  last year i stopped in and the same box was $99.99.  so their price has come down.  yes, i have stopped using/buying at any place that gouges on 22 lr ammo.  if more people did we would not be in the mess.  i vote with my feet and money.
