How do most of y'all clean your Glock? With Hoppes No. 9, HOT water or ??? The hot water my sound strange, but I've heard a few people that do it that way( the lower half of the pistol anyway).Run it under Hot water ,scrub it with a toothbrush, then blow it dry with air.

I don't always clean my Glock, but when I do I use hoppes nueve.

After shooting, I field strip and spray mine down with CRC/Non-chlorinated brake cleaner, blow it out with an air hose, on low, then spray down with Eezox® Gun Care spray and let it sit for about 15 minutes, wipe it down good and put it back together. Works for me and don't take long at all.

I throw the whole thing (disassembled of course) in my sonic cleaner, then in the oven with the metal parts for a bout 20 min on 200 (just enough to get all the moisture). Then wipe it down with weaponshield, reassemble, and reload.

Btw, do it on all my handguns this way.

Might sound funny but... Every year I break it down, throw it in a hot soapy bucket with Dawn, use tooth brush, rinse, blow with compressed air and sit outside in sun during summer or use heat gun to get all moisture out. Lube & reassemble. Rest of the year it's my cologne, Love Potion #9

Every three years I clean mine with simple green, toothbrush and compressed air, and replace the recoil spring.  Once a year, I lube the rails and wipe a drop of oil on the slide.

Yes, I shoot reloads with cast boolits over Bullseye and Unique. (two of the dirtiest powders around)
