I shot my first deer on my second ever JV Hunt. I was 12, and nervous.....now I am 25 and after many deer shoot, I still get nervous, when I see one.

I guess that will never leave me.

Definately hitting the woods this Saturday! We've been scouting for about 4 wks now and set the blind up and are ready to go! A 10 yr old and a 14 yr old...hoping to make a memory!

Oh yeah! Me and my 6 year old will be hitting a sweet little food plot that a good friend has graciously offered! My boy and I are already having trouble sleeping. The thought of his first deer hunt is overwhelming to both of us. I remember mine as well, 26 years ago! We spent last night positioning a toy horse so as to study shot placements. I think he's ready! We're going to put our blind out this afternoon as a matter of fact, on my good friend's farm----oh yeah, what time do you want to meet?

My 13 and 15 year old are itching to go. I am getting pretty excited myself.

Here is my 15yo (when she was 13) with her first deer.

Very nice. Hopefully she'll grow up with the ideals you impart on her and pass them on to her own children. There's some hope for this country yet.

The 11 year old and I will be out there in North Sumner Co as well. My 15 year old son has taken his safety course and has a job as a soccer ref now so he is paying for his first junior hunting permit himself this year for Nov 1 muzzle loader weekend. I love deer season.

Here was the result of last falls juvy hunt
