Just had a Burger King manager want to fight me

The pc way to talk about a former employee is they are with the co or not and they are or are not eligible for employment in the future... More to come from HR nightmares...

I would not even suggest stating rehire eligibility. Just say if the person works there or not. Nothing to be gained by talking about a former employee except a lawsuit when they dont get a job because their prospective employer chatted you up and you said something which made them run away from that person.

Sadly, its the bad crazy people who seem to have the time for these escapades

when I did hiring and firing in the past the deal breaker on any prospective employee was if their references would admit they would hire them back.   If they said that the person was not eligible for re-hire they were not going to be hired by me. If an ex-employer would have them back they most likely got a job with me.

It was an easy way for the reference to tell me the truth about the person in question.
