I figured you would be SOL until the new permit shows up. At least you can carry in the car.

I do believe they send you a notice that the new permit will be coming that you can use in the meantime. My permit was so close behind that it made no different though.

it shouldn't take that long...i renewed mine by mail and was very near my expiration date... they sent me a paper license to carry until i got my actual new plastic one... and it got here before my old one actually expired... so hopefully it won't take them that long, or see if you can get a paper license until your plastic comes in
