back in the 60's my best friends dad own the chev dealership in summerville ga.   when the new cars came out he would keep them behind his house covered up with tarps until release day.  i got to help covering them up, and drive them to the dealer.  so i was in the know.  today's cars all look the same.

Well, I think I got my questions answered and for the most part most folks do agree they look almost alike. That is what makes it so hard for an eye witness in a crime scene to identify the car even if they are 20 feet away. If they don't see the license plate of cars emblem all they can said is color which can also be tough and  4 door or 2 door. I have also been doing a study on car colors. and someone mentioned  Reds, Blues, Blacks and Whites are main colors. I drove through 25 different dealerships brands Foreign and domestic and White is # 1 but # 2 color is Champagne, #3 Silver #4 Black #5 Red and # 6 was blue. Yea I do have an exciting life as I know most of ya'll are already saying. But my Dog enjoys riding and hanging out back side windows barking at the cows and horses in pastures. She gets bored quick in car lots..................Thanks for the replies.................JMHO

Well aware of that man, but i seen the cat fight prior to the edits

Oh.  I missed that :D

Nothing like a car discussion in the South to bring about a pissing match.

"my daddy drove him some Fords so I'm goona drive me some too!"

"your daddy was an idiot then!"

"I'll kick your ass!"

Bout all it takes.

Fords- Fix Or Recycle Dilemma

Dodge- Dead Or Dying Garbage Emitter

Chevrolet- Constantly Having Every Vehicle Recalled Over Lousy Engineering Techniques

Mazda- Most Always Zipping Dangerously Along

Audi- Always Undermining Deutsche Intelligence

Chrysler- Can Hear Revs, Yet Sense Little Engine Reaction

Mercury- Massive Engines Run Curiously Underpowered Rolling Yawnbarges

Nissan- Nasty Import Styles Seem All Normal

Toyota- Totally Ordinary Yawn-Optimizing Tedious Autos

Come at me bro. I have owned at least one car from each of these brands and dodge/chrysler and audi are my top two hated.

I hope this offends at least one person on the forum. I know there are car guys around.

And send the dollars overseas.

Ahh!! factories don't send money back over seas. They pay it to American employees and those employees spend it in our American economy. Yes they probably do send a certain amount of the profits made in the dealerships sales of their automobiles back home but also remember they have plants back home making cars that remain there and built with much less labor costs and more profits. I think we should be glad they are giving Americans jobs and not still importing everything............jmho

Yup! They're incredible.

I currently have a Volvo S80 V8 AWD. I call it my 140mph couch, as it's super comfy and loves to eat up the highways. I'd call an RS6 wagon a 190mph living room!

I am about to rebuild my bel air's engine from scratch. And am probably going to piss off a TON of purists out there. Got myself two 13b rotaries that I was thinking about sticking into the old gal. And then driving her to the good guys car show and have them hate me. American classic with japanese power. BTW, I wonder how well your "140mph couch" does in a sharp turn.

Haha! That sounds awesome! DO IT!

Yea, the S80 isn't a corner carver, that's for sure! Transverse V8 mounted high and forward, as well as ... um... it's a giant Volvo sedan! That's why I said it enjoys the HIGHWAYS! :-)

I was able to make a acura mdx handle like a sports car. But the crap feedback on the steering and angling during sharp corners made it for an awful high speed car.  After owning the RX8, it will be tough finding a better handling car at a normal price range thats bigger than a miata.  But the quad rotor bel air just entered planning stage. And I am honestly thinking about selling my guns to fund this crazy pipe dream.

My peeve is that no one makes a decent looking station wagon. My 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback has sports suspension and handles great.  It's more fun to drive and easier to maneuver than a big SUV, but I can carry my bikes without even removing the front wheel. I still like the looks.

I got the itch  to buy a new (used car but new to me) car a couple of years ago. I keep looking as I'm driving around, but I really don't see anything I like better. Most newer cars all look about the same to me.

Check out a Volvo XC90

The old ones were with the 2.8T or 2.9 engines.  I have one and it does terrific in the corners.. even with 207kmi on it. Not saying I'm gonna take on a Mustang or 'Vette but it does great for a large sedan.

IMHO, the Asian cars all look alike. Without a badge, I couldn't tell the difference between a Camry and a Sonata from the rear.

Personally I prefer Volvo and Land Rover.  They have their own look (for the most part) and I find them easy to work on.
