I carry all the time in Indiana. There is a tale of lore there which speaks of people who legally order a beer with their dinner whilst carrying and never get in trouble with the law.

I don't recall what their laws are for carrying into a bar or casino though. I've never been in either there while armed.

Indiana law is unique.  If you're carrying with an out of state permit you're bound not only by Indiana law but also by the laws of your home state.  Since it's illegal in TN to drink while carrying,  you can't do it in Indiana.

Interesting. Didn't know that.

Not doubting you, but is there a source you can cite for this?  I don't see how Indiana LE could possibly know the laws of 49 other states or have the authority to enforce them.

Thanks for the info, I should be compliant as I don't drink and carry and pay attention to gun buster signage.

I assume the casino is posted based on Harrah's Cherokee.

I first learned about it last spring before going to Indy for the NRA convention.  This link posted above mentions it on page 4.  http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/indiana.pdf

I agree though, it sounds difficult to enforce, not that there isn't a cop who would try.
