Unfortunately, and I will confess; in my younger days, I probably was all of these guys at one time or another. :stunned:

 

Thankfully time, age, and hopefully a little bit of wisdom have weaned me from these proclivities.

I take folks to the range with the purpose of letting them shoot several different guns, so I don't consider myself the 'You gotta shoot this guy.'

 

The one time I did encounter him it was a MSAR STG-556, and well, since the Steyr Aug, and by association the MSAR are on my bucket list, I was enamored when he offered to let me shoot it. It made my range trip. So he didn't bother me at all.

 

 

 

The other guys, I don't care for.

Darn, here I was thinking people would want to shoot my custom built guns.  They won't blow up in your face, I promise. Only had that happen once, no one was hurt lol.

They forgot the "One-Upper" guy. He loud talks, even during cold. He makes sure everyone can hear how good his guns are and how well he can use them.

I find the "tac" guys amusing.  The have no concept of silence, speed and concentrated firepower.  Silence being the key to the kingdom.

I have little problem with the "You’ve Got To Shoot This!" folks myself. Have gotten hands on with lots of shootin' irons I'd never have had the occasion to otherwise, or they influenced me in what I chose to buy.
