According to some of these folks, coyotes = rapists and home invaders in how we're supposed to treat them, right?

Just give them what they want!

You know, just your loved ones, your body, and everything you work hard for. Sounds like a good solution to me.

Beginnig to see them in our neighborhood(acrually for about 3-4 months now on an erattic basis).

Thinking that the CX4 might do the job if I get one in my sights. Distances have been20-40 yards in the areas where I think I could safely take a shot.

Had a pack of them wake me up at 4:00 am this morning. Sounded like they were just outside, and they carried on for about 15 minutes. We live in the country with several hundred acres of woods around us, and we hear them all the time. They sound creepy, but I think it's kinda cool. I've only ever seen one. Woke him from a morning nap while I was walking across a field, and he ran off.

This reminds me of the one guy on the TV series "Mountain Men".  You know, the guy that eliminates mountain lion and wolf threats by telling them to "get outta here".

According to the article you should have immediately grabbed a couple of pans from the kitchen and a wooden spoon and gone out on the porch and raised a ruckus. That'll teach those pesky coyotes.

Tried to read the article but that site has way too much going on.

If certain areas think they can cohabitate with coyotes, let them. Not my problem.

I go out every morning with rocks in my pockets, tennis shoes on, mace on my neck, a whistle on my neck and a foghorn on my leash, and I still don’t feel safe,” Ms. Warner said last week in comments before the Seal Beach City Council.

 Well, I'll bet you look like an idiot anyway. Sounds like she has the situation pretty well under control, huh?

Surely she hasn't considered getting...I don't know.....A GUN??!!?? A REAL DOG??!!?!?

I'm beginning to find political correctness amusing.

A pack could take down any dog although they'd be busy screwing with my Rotty.

“We learned about the ways to haze, we were educated, we learned what to do about the coyotes, and, as far as I know, we have all put them into place the best that we can,” Mayor Ellery Deaton said. “After that, when the spring came this year, the problem was worse and not better.”
