Stink Bugs!

What the heck is with all the stink bugs this year? I've never seen them this bad. They are everywhere! I got them all over the house, in the house and in the truck. They can sneak into just about anywhere. They crawl across my face while I'm sleeping and get stuck in my wife's hair. I'm over them. And you can't squish them, or they smell like a teenager's socks.

They have been coming out more lately. Not sure what the deal is with them. I don't remember them being around until just a few years ago. The cats like to play with them.

Last couple of years were some kind of record for them nation wide. Haven't been as bad around the Knox urb as last year so far.

Always been around during my 66 years, just not usually a bumper crop.

It seems they really are abundant in the Knoxville area. We have some here in the tri-cities, but my daughter and  several friends in the Knoxville area apparently have a bumper crop.

Also in the Madison/Inglewood area. They've been all ove my front and back door, lawn chairs and on the fencing.

And yes, it sure seems like a whole lot more than normal this year.

I got a couple of the battery powered fly swatters when Harbor Freight had free coupons for them. The smell of a bug being zapped is just plain satisfying, and not as bad as squishing them.

When I was in school (20 years ago) in Missouri, these things were everywhere all the time. Like mentioned above, until the last couple years I don't much remember seeing them here in TN.

Knock em in to a cup of water with some dish soap in it.  They die and they don't stink like they do when you smash them.  If you have kids, you could give them a cup of soapy water and put a bounty on the little pests.  The stink bugs, not the kids.

Wifey and I got into the garage this afternoon. It was awful. The little suckers were everywhere!

On the doors, windows, getting into boxes, under things. Phewww.

Thinking of moving till cold weather kills them off.
