The District of Columbia passed one of the strictest concealed carry laws in the nation Tuesday, calling for 16 hours of training, “good reason” be proven for consideration, and a host of other restrictions.

The measure, outlined in a 21-page bill, comes in an effort to comply with a federal court order that struck down the District of Columbia’s ban on handgunsoutside of the home. The 90-day stay agreed to by U.S. District Judge Frederick J. Scullin Jr. is set to run out Oct. 22.

No, was 9th Circuit -- federal appeals court covering about 9 states. Headquartered in Kali only, not a state court.

 

Only reason I asked was 'cause occurred to me hadn't heard anything about it in some time, and can't dance around very well on dialup. Was hoping this would get appealed so would make it to Supremes. If it doesn't, it can't be incorporated to the whole country as I understand it, so no help in D.C.
