I prefer buying in the state of TN but will order online if i have to. Since i'm getting paid weekly, i need to finish my AR soon. I'm still wanting to go with a 300 blackout in a rifle ( not carbine) model.

All I need now is the

Barrel

Bolt reciever

Charging handle

and some magpul furniture.

I have my lower built and my upper partially built. If I have forgotten any parts on my list please let me know.

Had so much going on these past few months, i'm looking forward to my finalizing this project.

Also, Any insight on some 300 blackout ammo would be helpful.

Thanks.

I'm popping off the 5.56 barrel on my TGO rifle and going 300blk for hog hunts in late November. Been looking hard at barrels and ammo lately.
Looks like there are a lot of good deals on barrels out there; I've never seen them so cheap. Seems like 5 years ago you'd drop $250 for a crap barrel that wasn't even chrome lined. I'm seeing deals on melonite barrels for $150 right now.

Ammo still sucks. The reason I didn't commit to 300blk earlier is because I didn't have time to reload for it and it's too expensive to feed. For its purpose, I'm just getting enough ammo to zero and kill a few pigs, and that's at ~ 1.25 a round.

I'm not sure how much you want to spend on a barrel but after reading a bunch on info on the cold hammer forged process I wanted to go that route.  I ended up going with a Daniel Defense barrel in a 18" 5,56 S2W version and couldn't be happier.   Linked below is the one rifle length version in 300 BLK I saw.    Note that the S2W profile is basically a heavy profile barrel so it does add some extra weight.  Also note that they have the salt bath nitride finish inside and out instead of chrome lined if that matters to you.   The SBN from what I understand is more durable than chrome lined barrels.

Still up in the air on the 300 blackout. if ammo is hard to come by i might just stick to another 5.56 in a non-carbine rifle.

Don't know if i want to stay all black or go with another color. Right now I have my current AR Black with tan(FDE) magpul furniture.

Not in any huge hurry as i have other things i need sooner than later. But hopefully this build wont take me another year to build.

Thanks for the advice/help.
