Not Staying Logged In...

Let me preface this by saying that yes my cookies are turned on in Firefox, yes I cleared my browser cache, and yes the little box to keep me logged in on the login page is checked.

 

Since Sunday, the TGO forum on my computer's browser, Firefox 32.0, will not keep me logged in for any reason. TGO, through my phone's browser, Firefox Mobile, will keep me logged in. Every time I come here on my computer I have to log back in. Every time I come to the forum on Firefox Mobile I am ready to go. I have not changed any settings on either browser since...I don't know when.

 

Any help, ideas, thoughts, recommendations, fixes, random opinions.

I have found that if I use the same desk top logo without ever logging out eventually it will fail to sign me in to the site and I have to do it manually and then place a new logo on desk top and it's good for about 4 to 6 months before it begins acting up again. Not saying this is your issue but I found it to be mine a while back..............jmho

Omega, nothing new for well over a year.

Bersaguy, I don't use a desktop icon for TGO its on my bookmark toolbar in Firefox.

Try logging out from the link up top, then sign back in see if it resets the cookie.

You zapped cache, but didn't mention deleting cookies in FireFox on computer, and restarting FireFox, and logging back in.

 

As you probably know, you can selectively zap cookies with FF, just select the TGO folder and zap whole folder, but  ONLY that, otherwise you'll lose lots of other auto functions for other sites you may frequent.

 

Seriously, deleting cookies has fixed many a TGO glitch through the years, and has been absolutely necessary at times with certain software changes on site depending on user system.
