Another Gun Dependent Actor Disses Them

Took a minute to look this Norman Reedus' guy up. Don't watch the show anyway, don't watch much TV as it is but movie flakes like Damon and those that speak out against freedom and believe the global warming BS really sour their performance and my enjoyment of it.

Same goes for music, use to be a Pearl Jam fan until Vedder showed his azz, now it just don't sound the same.

So, I'm with BigK, thanks for ruining my opinion of Liam.

You know, with very few exceptions, maybe we should start having all people take that same test at age 18, even if you are born here. If you fail it, we'll shop you somewhere else for free!

You'd only have 18 years to prepare for it!

Well, we certainly would not have a population issue in this country if this were done. From what we see in on-the-street interviews, the typical American teen can barely walk and talk at the same time; let alone have any knowledge of the history of the nation he/she lives in.

If potential voters had to pass a civics, history, and current events quiz before they could cast a ballot, we'd finally be rid of the Democrats. Without the zero-knowledge crowd they wouldn't stand a chance.

Enough of my political whining...I'm off to watch Rob Roy again...LOL

Reedus' big breakthrough was in Boondock Saints flicks, 'bout as violent gun flicks as any made.

Again, I always try to separate the art from the artist, otherwise one misses out on a lot of entertainment in life, but it's just especially blatantly ironic with these guys and gun issues. If they really were that "moral" about it, they'd sacrifice the bucks they make from what largely amounts to the glorification of their use, and often just for pure mayhem.

And to think he portayed Oskar Schindler. You would hope he of all people would have a clue

No kidding.  If Jews were armed back then the way they are now, Hitler wouldn't have made it very far.  The few Jews who were able to flee to the woods and arm themselves sure caused havoc behind the lines and tied up personnel that would have otherwise been used on one of the two main fronts.

But I guess the systematic extermination of 6 million people is faaaaaaar more moral that letting individuals own firearms for the purpose of self defense against criminals and governments.

Liberal elites are so far disconnected from reality, their opinions mean absolutely nothing.  The opinion of a two-bit crack whore is more relevant.

Meh. Liam ain't even American, the hell does he know about the founding fathers anyway? I didn't realize he was a historian or biographer... I could have sworn his job was to entertain, kinda like a clown...

Man did you ever nail it.....

As OS pointed out, Liam Neeson is a naturalized citizen. I'd bet a box of ammo that he knows more about this country and government than 2/3 of graduating high school seniors who were born here.

That doesn't make him right about guns or less of a hypocrite on the matter, but he is American.

Well let's be honest here.

When a celebrity or actor makes a commercial endorsing, promoting and hawking a product or service, it's everything I can do to refrain myself from immediately getting out of my recliner and buying that product / service.

When Hollywood elitists, actors and athletes use their notoriety to express their educated views to influence my critical thinking... I stand up and take notice and re-evaluate my own morals and convictions. After all, the Constitution and Bill of Rights were written by a bunch of old fogies and this is the age of enlightenment, entitlement and progressivism.

The really sad part is too many of our prodigy's role models are drug dealers, actors and athletes and take their venom as the gospel. They've never developed the ability to reason and think for themselves due to the federally controlled public education system, their parent and the collective socialism that has swept the country.

I'd like to see a national poll of todays children under the age of 16 asking who is their hero / role model. Then compare it to the same group of kids of generations ago and see what's changed. I'd suspect a generation ago and prior to that is was Dad, grandpa, Jesus and maybe comic book hero Superman? Today would be the local drug dealer, Ice-T, Snoop Dog, Michael Jordan, Hollywood celebs I would suspect?

He wasn't even born here, "F" him.

Ask GJohnson how many guns were around Mark Wahlberg, who condemns guns, this weekend in Knoxville. He even said the security team pointed their guns at him when he attempted to get up. I don't care who you are if you point a gun at me we are going to have HUGE issues. Good thing I didn't go to the MoH ceremonies because had someone pointed a gun at me it would have made national news.

This kind of crap infuriates me, even when it happens to somebody else. Who the hell do these limp !@#$!@# !@#$!@#$!@s think they are? So many of these celebritards and politician scumbags think they are above the law. Had one of those guards been dropped, and rightfully so, they would find out the hard way they are not. Man I hate people sometimes.

Whoa! When did Michael Jordan stop being a good role model? I mean, yeah, he sucked playing for the White Sox during the spring training season that one time, but other than that, he seemed like a very positive role model in sports. I got to meet him a couple times. Seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Glad you caught that TMF. I was going to ask that same question. I think Michael Jordan is a great role model for the youth of today. He is an intelligent business man, had a successful career in hoop Sports and I have never had to opportunity of meeting him but would like to some day and shake his hand.................jmho

Of course, all that would be negated here if he publicly opined that perhaps assault weapons should be banned, eh?

Yes. Unless they're entering the political arena, famous people should stick to what made them famous rather than believing their opinions are more important that the common man. If Jordan came out and slammed the 2nd Amendment it would be the same to me as if he came out and said anything larger than a 16 Oz soft drink should be banned.

I don't think it would take away from him being a positive role model, it would just make him an elitist douche, like Liam Neeson.

Of course, I don't believe that actors can be role models, since their only talent is pretending to be people. If anything, actors are nothing more than people who are objectified for their good looks and envied for their fame and fortune. For some reason, my wife has had a thing for Liam Neeson for as long as I can remember. Seemed weird, but hey, whatever works. She thinks I'm weird for having a thing for Carrie Fisher.

I could understand if she still looked like that in the metal bikini. But now...

Safe to say TMF doesn't look the same as back then either. ;)

I still maintain the fantasy of Sophia Loren and Ava Gardner, and hell, one of them is dead! ;)
