Have built a lot of these for customers over the years but have never had one on the shelf here so opted to do this build to show how its done and to have an example on the rack.  Found a beat-up 18.5" Mossberg 500 on Gunbroker and went to work.

Here's what the gun looked like as purchased:

After a bit of work and modifying come stuff, here is the finished product, its still an 18.5" barrel, just has a 6rd magazine slung underneath it now.  We also packed it full of upgrade parts.

I like it.

I have to admit that I liked the original too, had a rough and tumble no nonsense look to it.

It was a rattle-trap unfortunately, the barrel was fitting really loose and the forend was horribly sloppy.  It was going to need some work just to be a tolerable truck gun.  When I stopped by the dealer to pick the gun up they were a bit concerned about its condition.  They were quite relieved to find out it was gonna get rebuilt and not used as-is

Gonna be chopping up a near-new Mossberg 835 next, kinda regretting it though because I took it dove hunting the other day and it was the best birdswatter I've used so far.

I actually really enjoyed the whole video. Nicely done and informative, especially with the 2 camera views for small items. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks.  I try to keep the videos about 8-10 minutes long but there was just too much involved in this build so it got edited down to 24 minutes.  The rough draft was just shy of 30 minutes
