I'm always interested in a comp to keep a muzzle steady. There's a VDI jet comp on a Adams cor that works really nice. Have used the Miculek comp as well, does a great job. I may go back to it from the effin a, more testing to do..

Doubtful, I'd bet the Amazon one is just a hollow can whereas the other actually has a baffle BUT I could be wrong on that.

Well, the reviewers said it had an internal cone so I went ahead and ordered one. I figured for the price its worth shot. We'll see when it gets here.

this is going to be a "Christmas present" so it may be a little while before it sees any action. The only concern I have is how much is weighs. Some of that Chinese stuff is heavy.

The brake came in today. It's a hefty item at 10.2 oz. Seems well made and easily disassembled. No indication of country of origin. Uses a circular wire around the front to keep the end screwed on. Lift it up and unscrew it to dissemble and clean the inside. I've never had one of these type brakes before so not sure what to look for. The small end of the cone has a .40 ID which seems large for a 5.56 rifle. Has set screws to lock the adapter onto the gun and then lock the brake onto the adapter. Not sure if thats SOP for these or not. Will be first of the year before I can actually shoot with it installed. $25 seems like a good price.

For $25.00 it seems like a fair option. I haven't got anything left to put one on for now, but that has definitely piqued my interest.

Have you did any testing on a 10.5" barrel 5.56 setup?

I've been looking at the flash cans, but muzzle movement means more to me than noise.

The flash suppression on the KA-1222A is tuned for a 14.5"-16" barrel so with the shorter barrel the flash suppression isn't as good but the recoil reduction is still as high as normal.

I like the looks of it and if it works as advertised, you can't beat the price. However, that's a lot of weight hanging out on the end of the barrel. Do you notice the added weight much? Seems like you would.

dont know yet, its still underwraps until Christmas. by the numbers its only a couple ounces heavier than some of the name brands. i'll post a range report once its functional.
