I use adblock with Chrome on all recent flavors of Windows.  I only dig the IE icon out of the start menu on rare occasions though.

No Script on Firefox is my choice, has the option to allow scripts on each page.  After a while though, I find it useful to "disallow" all permissions and start over again.

My 8.1 has ABP.  I dunno if I added it or if it came stock with Chrome.   It says 11 right now on this webpage.  I guess it works fine.

I use it on the latest and "greatest" of Windows and Firefox and really like it. I've been using it for 2-3 years now and it hasn't failed enough for me to not like it. Occasionally ads gets through it, but its pretty rare. It even blocks ads on forums...

I  installed Adblock a few minutes ago.  Wow.  The open space on the pages is disconcerting.  The pages seem to load faster.  So far, so good.

I have not figured out out to turn TGO banners back on yet, but the sites I was trying to fix are much cleaner.

Thanks.

Ok, sorry, had to go and find it in IE.

it's located on the status bar, which isn't displayed by default in IE.

hit the ALT key, to view the menu bar - click view, then choose toolbars, then status bar. Adblock icon is in bottom right corner of the window now.
