New Resource?

Anyone have any experience with www.doomandbloom.net ? Checked out a few of their videos and found them possibly informative.

Been trying to find a decent first-aid/SHTF-medical resource, and I know very little to nothing about any of this stuff, so I'm hoping some folks on here have advice for good "general" resources.

I have one of their personal kits in each of our vehicles and their major trama kit that I carry on all trips

Good folks.

I don't have any first hand experience with their products, but "Dr.Bones (Joe Alton) and Nurse Amy (Amy Alton)" are regulars on Jack Spirko's "Survival Podcast" and are frequent contributors to Backwoods Home magazine.

They are a decent information source and generally pretty informative and entertaining during their podcasts and Youtube vids.

I find their pricing on their kits kind of high. But everything is put together for you.

I generally purchase my Med Gear from:

http://www.chinookmed.com/

https://www.mooremedical.com/

http://www.galls.com/

Our own Randy Harris with Suarez Intl runs a great Tac Med oriented course as well. Gotta have some quality training to go with that quality gear.

You need a foundation to build off of, the American Red Cross would love to teach you basic first aid. The course is quick and cheap, you get certified, and I had a modest amount of fun doing it. This time of year you would most likely be taking the class with a bunch of freshly graduated girls on their way to be teachers too as a bonus.

I wouldn't dump a bunch of money into equipment you don't know how to use, and I wouldn't recommend going to a high end trainer for a basic class. Start small and cheap and start adding items to your kit as you learn more about them, how/when to use them, etc.
