Shadow Boxes, anyone?

I've been thinking of putting a shadow box together with some stuff from my service days. Just my medals, a couple patches, and probably a couple other things. Does anyone have any suggestions for a box or how to make one? I don't want a cheap looking one but I don't want to spend a fortune on it. It doesn't have to be real big. I appreciate any input. I'm not trying to toot my own horn or anything, I just want something to commemorate my time in the military, something of which I am very proud to have done. Thanks.

you could try looking at a place that frames pictures and paintings. They generally have a wide selection of framing material. Some of it may be up to two inches deep, maybe more. They make good sources for making your own box.

decide on the size you want and have them make the frame. you can decide then what to use as a backer to afix your medals and such to.

Check the craft stores. Most of them sell unfinished ones in different sizes. I know Joanne Fabrics in Knox and AC Moore both have them.
