My DVR is brimming with episodes of 'Gun Stories' on Outdoor Channel.

 

I absolutely love this show. I do not know if they get everything right (I'm assuming they are pretty close), but the interviews and the back stories of guns from the past make me go to GB every time and look for them and see if I can afford another piece of history!

 

If you watch the show, what is your favorite episode?

 

For me it has to be the '73 Winchester. To be honest I am a Marlin Man, but the 1873 is the iconic lever gun in my opinion!

 

I did enjoy the 'Guns of Little Big Horn 1,2' just recently aired.

I would have to say the Barrett M82 because they talked about TN and Ronnie Barrett. And also it's a bad ass gun.

I have seen every episode of Gun Stories, all the episodes are interesting even if you own the gun featured or not. I guess my 2nd. favorite was the AK-47 episode.

I like the opening story told during the episode on the BAR.

 

It was an account of a Korean War Vet and how cold and isolated he felt at night in his foxhole.

 

And then in the distance he would hear the firing of a BAR.....

 

And he Knew He Was Not Alone!

awesome TV show.  I cannot pick a fav of the ones I have seen.   Mantegna is perfect as a host for it.

I prefer the TGO series for gun stories.

 

We've got stuff here that ranges from people making fun of others for accidental discharges, then blowing holes in their roofs doing the same.  Modifying weapons to the extreme, and also how to make an AK47 pistol look like a toy gun.  Engineering to the likes of using scrap metal to build parts all the way to making your own gunpowder for reloading and making knives from scratch.

 

The TGO documentary is way better than anything that could ever be shown on TV  :up:
