If you do need to get to pigeon forge go through Townsend you won't hit traffic till your less than a half mile from the strip. If you come from the interstate you will hit traffic shortly after you exit all the way through Sevierville

I am originally from Sevierville, spent 30 years up there.  Have lived down in Monroe county now for 15 years, and no regrets!  I am 55 mins from my house to downtown Sevierville!  I do not miss the traffic, tourists, traffic, tourists, traffic, tourists, and did I mention that I do not miss traffic, tourists!

If you are on I40, you will hit a traffic back up well before you get to exit 407. Usually it will back a mile or two before you get there.

This just in, a gun show is in Knoxville this weekend, I wonder if the roads will be clogged, and bumper to bumper traffic in Ktown?

I wish something like the famous Shotshow came to Pigeon Forge, for like a week.  I bet the forge could pack in people for that show like a car show does.

They had a preppers convention at the Sevierville convention center not too long ago. There's plenty of room for a good sized gun show there or in the new one in Pigeon Forge. I'm hoping that it happens, from what I read, the trip to Knoxville wouldn't be worth the effort. I might brave the traffic for a gun show, a car show, not so much. Edited by spazz023

I did FedEx Ground in PF for a couple of years ... since I'm not an auto nut, I wouldn't drive down there on a Car Day for less than three or four bills now, either!
