So I'm going to convert my .223 Saiga. Thinking of getting this kit from Carolina Shooter Supply.

Or I also thought it might be a fun project to put a Slide Fire stock on :)

If I order it, anyone who has done one of these conversions before feel like helping out? I know everyone says it's super easy. Just don't trust myself quite enough. I'm willing to travel around Middle Tennessee if needed.

Yeah, not too difficult until you start tackling the FSB/Bayo Lug/Muzzle Device area.  Tons of vids on youtube on it along with a pretty good sticky at the top of this forum as well.  With the kits being produced at CSS and Dinzag it really has become pretty easy to knock out a conversion.

It really is super easy.

Drill or knock out the two pins at the lower rear of the receiver. Drill or grind the rivets for the trigger guard and cover plate. Then after that you assemble it just like any other AK.

You can't mess up an AK. Just follow the videos and take your time. I have done 4 now and it takes me about 30-45 minutes if I have no issues that come up. The only issue I have ever had was the paint I used to paint the exposed metal under the cover plate did not adhere and dry like it should.

Hey, I converted my Saiga .223 and I have no mechanical ability, what so ever.  If I could do it, anyone could do it! :)
